With a lifetime of experience and achievement in
business relationship development, Marion
Gellatly has been guiding professionals to
strengthen their personal power since 1991.
Ms. Gellatly founded Powerful Presence in 1991
to help professionals find their full potential
by improving their personal presentation. Her
inside knowledge of the corporate world, mastery
of image development, and proven leadership
skills give her a unique insight and advantage
in furthering the image goals of her corporate
and professional clients. Ms. Gellatly
attributes much of her success to her own
foundation of “personal power:” her belief in
self, positive attitude, communication skills,
business style, appearance, and business
etiquette skills.
One
of a handful of individuals who have earned the
title “Certified Image Master” from the
Association of Image Consultants International (AICI),
Ms. Gellatly is among the top experts in her
field. She currently serves as
2005-2007
President of AICI, the premier global image
organization that represents members in over 45
countries. During her tenure the organization
has
doubled its membership and continued to
build the strongest global certification program
in the industry.
As a
recognized leader in image consulting, Ms, Gellatly directs the on-line Image Center for
the Direct Selling Women’s Alliance, travels the
nation as a speaker and seminar leader, and is
called to inform radio audiences and the press.
Ms. Gellatly has been featured in national media
such as The New York Times, The Wall Street
Journal, and USA Today.

Background and
Achievements
A
successful 15-year sales veteran, Ms. Gellatly
can relate to the challenges of building a
successful business career. Her corporate career
included marketing for a prominent Fortune 100
company in addition being a pioneer and leader
for saleswomen in other companies in which she
excelled.
Although her success let her retire from the
corporate world, she found she still needed to
be active and to serve. While exploring options
in retail, fashion merchandising and design, she
discovered image consulting and realized she had
found the perfect fit for her interests and
talents. Soon after receiving her first
certification at West Valley College, she began
to specialize in helping clients use their
personal power in the corporate environment.
Although she was active in the Career Closet
charity for eight years, Ms. Gellatly’s biggest
achievements involve building AICI. In 1991, she
joined as a charter member, and has taken a
leadership role every year since. Starting with
positions in the San Francisco Bay Area chapter,
the largest and fastest growing, she soon became
its President. When she stepped up to the
international level, she served as treasurer
during four years of financial challenge, and
left to her successor a legacy of financial
stability. Yet she counts as her highest
achievement the growth of global membership and
the outreach of AICI’s certification program
around the world, because it creates a
foundation for the credibility and
professionalism of image consultants worldwide.
Since founding Powerful Presence, Ms. Gellatly
has consulted and trained thousands of men and
women executives, sales teams, marketing
professionals, customer care groups, engineers
and business owners in sectors as varied as high
tech, manufacturing, government, hospitality,
small and large businesses, and professional
associations. But her most profound affinity is
with financial institutions and advisors whose
responsibilities demand the very highest
standard in professional image: flawless
integrity, communications, and personal power.
